Land Tenure Matters:
Research, recommendations and execution of land reform projects, property ownership as well as the formalisation and registration of informally held land. Assisting tribes and communities in formalising ownership of land occupied by them.
Project Management:
Plan, organise and control projects inclusive of project integration, scope-, time-, cost-, quality-, human resource-, communication-, risk- and procurement management.
Cadastral Surveys:
Surveys relating to the location of beacons and boundaries, setting out of townships, subdivisions, servitudes, mining titles etc. for registration in the offices of the registrars of deeds.
Town Planning:
Preparing the necessary plans and documentation, the submission and administration of applications on behalf of clients for e.g. township establishment, rezoning of town planning schemes, consent use applications or proposed subdivisions.
Environmental Impact Assessments:
Preparation of reports examining the environmental effects of a development proposal, the expected impacts and the proposed mitigating measures.
Community Facilitation and dispute resolution:
Providing communication as part of an open, just and transparent process and ensuring that all development is essentially a people centred and people driven process. Applying facilitation skills as a channel between community groups, civic organisations, authorities, planners and developers. Being involved in accommodating community concerns and needs within prevailing resource constraints.
Property Reports:
Preparation of reports relating to which planning restrictions may apply, what physical constraints
are present, the contents of title deeds, the existence and extent of rights and restrictions
below above or on the surface of land and procedures that have to be complied with for
preparing the title for development, e.g. township establishment.
Property Management:
Land management for legal entities and local authorities needing to effectively regularise,
acquire, maintain or use land tenure data in settlements, for management and government purposes.
Property Administration:
Land management for legal entities and local authorities needing to effectively regularise,
acquire, maintain or use land tenure data in settlements, for management and government purposes.
Waste management:
The identification of waste disposal sites, management and disposal of domestic-, medical-, industrial-, and hazardous waste.
Training:
Land Tenure Services has devised a programme to help the communities to help themselves and to
equip the Community Leaders/Structures to become working partners of the local authorities.
Establishment of Legal Entities:
Advising communities on the most appropriate tenure option or legal entity and assisting communities
in the establishment of legal entities such as CPA's and Trusts, drafting the necessary constitutions
and documents and train committees in the day to day administration of the legal entity.
Photogrammetrical Surveys:
Mapping for planning and design purposes.
Information Technology:
GIS development consisting of establishing client requirements,
customisation of software, design, implementation and maintenance
of spatial databases, production of spatial reports and analysis,
data collection and conversion, support and training of clients.
